Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

Special People

Many special people of Alaska are making a difference in the area of fetal alcohol syndrome and other alcohol related birth defects. They work to make a difference in awareness, prevention, intervention, support and parenting. A new special person is occasionally highlighted and reperesents affected individuals, birth parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, teachers, counselors, doctors, nurses, social workers, probation officers, therapist, clergy and other special people who make a difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by prenatal exposure to alcohol.
