RURAL LONG-TERM CARE
Department of Administration, Division of Senior Services

The Alaska Commission on Aging's continued commitment to serving elders in rural areas is demonstrated through their support of the Rural Long-Term Care Development Project. With assistance from this project a 10-unit assisted living home opened this year in Dillingham. Information about assisted living development and general outreach about senior services has been provided in many other communities. DSS/ACoA held a workforce development workshop in May to begin addressing the workforce needs in rural areas.
