Current Health Topic: Flu Vaccine Shortage

Governor Frank H. Murkowski rolls up his sleeve
Tuesday, Sept. 28 to kick off the state's 2004 flu vaccination
effort by getting his own flu shot from Anchorage Pioneers'
Home staff nurse Janet Sumner, as First Lady Nancy Murkowski
stands by with a Band-Aid. The governor got his shot to help
encourage older Alaskans and other vulnerable residents to
get vaccinated against the respiratory illness.
