Certification and Licensing

Welcome to the Section of Certification & Licensing

The Department of Health & Social Services is pleased to announce that the centralization of the certification and licensing functions within the department has begun! Licensing functions formerly performed by several divisions within the department, as well as work performed by other state agencies, will be coming together under the division's new Section of Certification & Licensing.

Pursuant to Executive Order 108, the Commissioner has determined the consolidation plan will be accomplished in two phases to assure an efficient and thoughtful transition process. Phase One, accomplished in July 2004, consisted of those licensing functions related to health/medical services and assisted living.
