The Alaska State Loan Repayment Program (starting September 2009) provides a new state-managed loan repayment opportunity for primary care and behavioral health providers working in designated health professional shortage areas (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, social workers, counselors, and psychologists).
National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC), through scholarship and loan repayment programs, helps Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in the U.S. get the medical, dental and mental health providers they need.
