Performance and Quality Assurance Measures
Over the next five years our focus will be to affect change in the following areas:
- Support development of capacity within the State and through contractors to provide on-going technical assistance, training, direct support, and on-going mentoring to improve delivery of integrated, family driven, recovery oriented services. Focus areas will include: clinical services and best practices, Medicaid service delivery/billing/documentation, preparation for PERM reviews, performance improvement and outcomes monitoring, and strategies specific to tribal organizations.
- Significantly increase technical assistance to behavioral health providers with an emphasis on performance based funding and outcomes.
- Expand tribal health service delivery as recommended by Senate Bill #61 (Medicaid Reform report).
- Increase focus on outcomes evaluation related to service delivery. This will be built into the business practices of the Division of Behavioral Health.
- Independent evaluation of new BTKH capacity. There has been on-going monitoring of BTKH project indicators since 2006 (see annual reports for FY05, FY06 and FY07), but this will expand these activities to include independent evaluation (funded by AMHTA authority grant)
