Answer a few simple questions and this worksheet will give you an idea of whether you might be eligible for heating assistance. This program does not guarantee you will qualify for services. You still need to apply. If you need help caring for yourself or your family, go to the nearest local Public Assistance office and find out more.

1.  How many people live in your household? These are all the adults and children that live in the home including yourself. If more than 8 individuals live in your home please contact the Heating Assistance Program to see if you qualify.
2.  How much money did your household earn last month? $ .00     Total the gross income, received in the prior month, for all working household members before taxes are taken out.

3.  How much money other than earnings did your household receive last month? $ .00     Include unemployment, retirement, child support, Social Security, etc. from prior month. Do not include PFDs or senior benifits.

4.  Do you live in subsidized rental housing? Rental housing subsidized by a government, housing authority, or non-profit entity, in which tenants pay 30 percent or less of their adjusted monthly income for rent.
5.  Do you live in housing that includes the cost of heat in the rent? Heat is included as part of your rent.
