Pre-Conference Training:
Around 86% of struggling readers encounter Phonemic Awareness problems.  We are excited to host excellent training in Alaska to help teachers, tutors, parents, and others learn how to teach this important skill during our Pre-Conference Training. Follow-up sessions throughout the year are available to support participants.

Keynote Address

Cheryl Anthony, Oregon Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, President Collaboration among Teachers and Parents: The Barton System in Classroom and Home or in Special Education.

Director of Academic Support at King's Way Christian School, Owner at Successful Learning Educational Services. Cheryl provides information about dyslexia to community and parent groups. She also provides school in-services, and occasionally speaks at conventions in a workshop format.

This year we are hosting a LIPS® Phonemic Awareness Workshop from Lindamood-Bell Processes®. Phonemic Awareness is one of the critical skills identified by the National Reading Panel’s Big Five Instructional Ideas on "what works" in reading instruction based on scientific evidence. Continuing Education Credits Warning: Check with your Educational Agency well in advance to see if this training qualifies for your districts CEUs.
